Gopani manufactures ClaryFil™ polypropylene filter bags from premium PP needle felt (glazed finish) at our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. As one of India’s leading liquid filter bag manufacturers since 1993, we supply industrial bag filters for depth filtration of aggressive chemicals, acids, solvents, caustics, and process water across 40+ countries.
Available in 9 standard micron ratings from 1 to 200 µm and 8 standard sizes (#1 through #7, plus #2X), ClaryFil™ PP bags fit all major global bag filter housing brands. Every bag is fully welded (seam, bottom, and collar) with zero stitch-holes, eliminating fibre migration and bypass leakage.

Choosing the correct micron rating depends on your process fluid, target particle size, and downstream equipment. For RO membrane pre-filtration and pharmaceutical water systems, 1–5 µm is standard. Chemical processing and paint filtration typically require 5–25 µm. Coarser ratings (50–200 µm) suit general industrial water treatment and bulk solids removal. Our filtration engineers can recommend the optimal micron grade for your specific application and flow conditions.
ClaryFil™ PP liquid filter bags are used across a wide range of industrial processes where chemical resistance and consistent particle retention matter:
Format: CFB-PO-[Micron]-[Size]-P-[Fitment]
Example: CFB-PO-10-2-P-W = PP felt, 10 µm, Size #2, Welded
Fitment codes: W = Welded | WH = Welded + Handle | SS = SS 316 Ring | Z = Zinc-Plated Steel Ring | P = Universal PP Collar
Need help selecting the right polypropylene filter bag for your process? Our filtration engineers will recommend the exact micron rating, bag size, and collar configuration for your application.
What chemicals can polypropylene filter bags handle?
PP filter bags offer excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents at temperatures up to 80°C. They are widely used in chemical processing for filtering hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, and common organic solvents. For higher temperature applications above 80°C, consider our polyester (PE) filter bags for higher thermal stability.
How do I choose between 1 µm and 200 µm filter bags?
The micron rating should match your target particle size. Use 1–5 µm for pharmaceutical water, RO pre-filtration, or fine chemical polishing. Use 10–50 µm for paint, resin, and general chemical filtration. Use 75–200 µm for coarse pre-filtration and bulk solids removal in industrial water treatment.
What is the maximum operating temperature for PP filter bags?
With a standard PP collar, the maximum continuous operating temperature is 80°C. If your process requires higher thermal stability, consider switching to ClaryFil™ polyester bags which inherently handle higher temperatures.
Which bag size fits my filter housing?
ClaryFil™ bags follow the global industry-standard sizing: Size #1 (7″×16″), Size #2 (7″×32″), Size #3 (4″×8″), and Size #4 (4″×15″). These fit all major bag filter housing brands worldwide. Custom sizes are also available on request.
What is the difference between welded and sewn filter bags?
Welded filter bags have their seams, bottom, and collar heat-sealed rather than stitched. This eliminates needle holes that can allow particles to bypass the filter media. ClaryFil™ bags use fully welded construction as standard, resulting in higher filtration efficiency, lower downstream contamination, and longer service life compared to sewn alternatives.
ClaryFil™ PP filter bags are available in 9 standard micron ratings: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, and 200 µm, covering fine to coarse depth filtration for industrial liquid processing.
ClaryFil™ PP filter bags are rated to 80°C continuous service with a PP or SS 316 ring collar. For applications above 80°C, our PE polyester felt bags are rated to 130°C.
ClaryFil™ PP bags are available in sizes #1 through #4 (including half-sizes), compatible with all standard bag filter housings from major OEMs.
Yes. PP offers excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and process solvents, making ClaryFil™ PP filter bags suitable for electroplating, chemical processing, and aggressive industrial liquids.
