Gopani manufactures ClaryFil™ nylon monofilament (NMO) mesh filter bags for precision surface filtration of industrial liquids. Unlike felt filter bags that use depth filtration, NMO mesh bags capture particles on the surface of a single-layer woven nylon screen, delivering repeatable, rated-accuracy filtration with every use. As an established nylon filter bag manufacturer in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India since 1993, we supply washable and reusable liquid filter bags to industries across 40+ countries.
Available in micron ratings from 25 to 1200 µm and 4 standard sizes (#1 through #4), ClaryFil™ NMO bags fit all major global bag filter housing brands. The monofilament weave is inherently reusable: bags can be cleaned and redeployed multiple times, reducing per-use filtration cost significantly.

NMO mesh bags are the right choice when you need exact, repeatable micron cut-off (surface filtration), when bags need to be washed and reused to lower operating costs, or when filtering fluids with low solids loading where depth filtration would be oversized. Felt bags (PP or PE) are better for high dirt-holding capacity with fine particles, depth filtration of gelatinous or sticky contaminants, and applications requiring micron ratings below 25 µm. If you are unsure which media type fits your process, our filtration engineers can evaluate your application.
ClaryFil™ NMO liquid filter bags are widely used where reusable, rated-accuracy surface filtration is required:
Format: CFB-NMO-[Micron]-[Size]-[Fitment]
Example: CFB-NMO-100-2-SS = NMO mesh, 100 µm, Size #2, SS 316 Ring
Fitment codes: SS = SS 316 Ring | Z = Zinc-Plated Steel Ring | P = Universal PP Collar
Looking for a reusable filter bag that delivers consistent, rated-accuracy filtration? Our engineers will recommend the right NMO mesh micron and size for your process fluid and housing.
How many times can NMO filter bags be washed and reused?
NMO mesh bags can typically be washed and redeployed 5 to 20+ times depending on the application, cleaning method, and operating conditions. Gentle backwashing or ultrasonic cleaning extends bag life. Even after multiple washes, the monofilament weave retains its rated micron accuracy because the mesh openings are fixed by the weave, not compressed like felt media.
What is the difference between NMO mesh and felt filter bags?
NMO (nylon monofilament) mesh bags use surface filtration with a fixed, woven screen at a single precise micron cut-off. Felt bags (PP or PE) use depth filtration where particles are trapped within the fibre matrix at varying depths. NMO is best for reusable, rated-accuracy straining; felt is best for high dirt-holding capacity with fine particles below 25 µm.
Can NMO bags filter below 25 microns?
Standard NMO mesh bags start at 25 µm. For finer filtration below 25 µm, we recommend switching to PP felt filter bags (available from 1 µm) or PE felt filter bags, both of which offer depth filtration suited to fine particle capture.
What chemicals are compatible with nylon monofilament?
Nylon 6,6 is resistant to most organic solvents, fuels, and alkaline solutions. However, it has limited resistance to strong mineral acids (hydrochloric, sulfuric). For highly acidic applications, PP bags are the better choice. Contact our engineers for a chemical compatibility check for your specific fluid.
What is the best way to clean NMO filter bags?
Backwashing with clean water at moderate pressure is the most common method. For stubborn contaminants, ultrasonic cleaning or soaking in a mild detergent solution works well. Avoid sharp mechanical scrubbing which can distort the mesh openings. Always inspect the mesh visually before reuse to confirm there are no tears or blocked areas.
NMO stands for Nylon Monofilament Object – a woven mesh fabric made from single-strand nylon filaments. It provides precise, consistent openings and a smooth surface that is easy to clean and reuse.
ClaryFil™ NMO nylon mesh bags are available in 7 standard ratings: 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, and 300 µm – suited for coarser surface filtration applications in food, beverage, pharma, and cosmetics.
Yes. ClaryFil™ NMO bags can be washed and reused multiple times. The smooth monofilament mesh releases captured particles easily, reducing replacement costs in applications with moderate contamination levels.
ClaryFil™ NMO bags are rated to 80°C with a PP collar or up to 130°C with a steel ring (SS 316 or zinc-plated), making them suitable for warm-liquid food processing and pharmaceutical applications.
